Diagnostic Nuclear Medicine
As with MPI imaging, the radioactive material is introduced into the body by injection or by swallowing, or inhalation. Different tracers are used to study different parts of the body. Check with the clinical staff for specific test preparation instructions. Diagnostic nuclear medicine tests of the liver/spleen, kidney, thyroid, bone and gallbladder are being performed in our Westlake Ohio Medical Group location.
