For over 35 years, North Ohio Heart has provided state-of-the-art cardiology services to families in Lorain County. The organization began as the idea of one man, Dr. John W. Schaeffer, M.D., F.A.C.C. Dr. Schaeffer envisioned building a team of dedicated professionals who would work together, using the latest technology, while never losing sight of the fact that personalized sensitivity and patient trust are essential components of successful medicine.

What some may not know is that in 1999, North Ohio Heart partnered with Ohio Medical Group to provide primary care services in northern Ohio area. Over the past decade, the North Ohio Heart/Ohio Medical Group partnership has been a convenience for people who want to maintain a healthier lifestyle and find life-long, complete solutions all from a single source.

In September 2010, North Ohio Heart, Inc. and its primary care division, Ohio Medical Group, joined services with EMH Regional Healthcare System under the new entity North Ohio Heart, Inc.
